The World Cup Bull Riders would like to extend its sympathy to Johnny Johnson and his family for the loss of his wife, Lyndsy Johnson.
Johnny Johnson and his company, New Mexitour, will be a major part of putting together the World Cup event in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This event, held on March 28-29, 2008, will be dedicated to Lyndsy and a buckle will be given in her honor to the fastest time in the barrel racing.
The WCBR will be taking the first 100 entries for the Rio Rancho event and all points will count towards the 2007 Finals. Also, there will be a new event at Mount Vernon, NY. Points at this event will also count for 2007.
Anyone interested in competing in any event in Brazil may want to get a passport in case of a short notice of an event there. The WCBR will be hosting a three week tour in Brazil, taking 20 top American bull riders vs. 20 top Brazilian bull riders. All information will be posted in HNH Bull Riding News.
The WCBR has elected a new President, Jim Luongo. Jim also works for the Bank of America with Premier Banking. Also Claudio Almeida will be Vice-President. Claudio has been the Brazilian announcer for the WCBR since 2000.
